Rays Liked on the Road in Friday MLB Gambling
Tampa Bay visits the Cleveland Indians on Friday and looks to continue their road success in baseball gambling at the online sportsbook.
The Rays are preferred in MLB wagering against the Indians on Friday, largely because they’ve got the best road history in all of MLB wagering.
Tampa Bay is expected to go with Jeff Niemann on Friday and he could be the most undervalued pitcher in all of baseball. He’s 8-2 on the season with a 2.92 ERA. He defeated the New York Yankees last time out to get his eighth win of the season. He is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA in 3 career starts versus Cleveland.
After the All-Star break, a funny thing occurred to the Cleveland Indians. They started winning. For some reason the Indians have determined they want to look like a serious League squad again. They have a shot to win on Friday considering their All-Star pitcher Fausto Carmona is planned to be on the mound. He’s 9-7 with a 3.65 ERA this season. He is 2-1 with a 3.48 ERA in his last 3 starts. His ERA is high at 5.52 although he is 3-1 in his career versus the Rays.
Tampa Bay is appearing like a World Series contender. They might wind up winning the AL East. The Rays are in the top five in both hitting and in ERA so it is not chance that they’re winning. Tampa has a pretty great roster and a pitching staff that can matchup with any squad in the league. David Price was the All-Star starter but Niemann has been every bit as good and the odds are lower when he pitches. The Tampa Bay Rays are strong at home and on the road they have been superb all season.
The Indians swept the Detroit Tigers in a 4-game series, so they did very well after the All-Star break. The Indians continued that achievement vs Minnesota. Winning versus the Tampa Bay Rays is another matter, although winning against Detroit and Minnesota is fine. Tampa is one of the best squads in the league along with the Yankees and they will be a much tougher test for the Tribe. Cleveland will be longshots in this series against the Tampa Bay Rays and they still have a losing record at home at 21-22.
